Jackie Mills, MS, RD, a nutrition expert and food writer, is the author of American Medical Association's Type 2 Diabetes Cookbook: Delicious Recipes for Healthy Living (Meredith, October 2005), The Complete Book of Diabetic Desserts (American Diabetes Association, 2007), and 1000 Diabetes Recipes (John Wiley and Sons, forthcoming, 2010). Jackie has developed hundreds of recipes for clients such as American Heart Association, Rodale, Weight Watchers, McNeil Nutritionals, McCormick, Almond Board of California, and Folgers. Her recipes are frequently published in magazines such as Cooking Light, Family Circle, Coastal Living, Country Home, Cooking Pleasures, and Diabetic Cooking. She has worked as editor of four Weight Watchers cookbooks and has been a guest on dozens of radio shows. Jackie is the former food editor at Redbook magazine and worked as an associate food editor at Southern Living magazine.
